Bisinella supports Lara Tennis Club for another year

Published: 03/05/2024

Established in 1955, Lara Tennis Club provides a fun and friendly environment for tennis enthusiasts of all ages, from beginners through to experienced senior players.

Over the past 12-months, the club has seen substantial growth in coaching numbers and memberships and increased its level of activities and social events.

In early 2023, the club completed several significant capital projects, including the construction of the Pavilion and two new hard courts.

Additionally, the resurfacing of the Lifelong Dental and Bisinella Courts with new synthetic grass, along with the installation of an automated lights system for the club's eight tennis courts, have further enhanced the facilities, now available for hire by both members and the general public.

The club has six teams in the Tennis Geelong Junior Competition held on a Saturday morning and four teams in the Tennis Geelong Senior Competition this winter season.

Additionally, the teams have competed in the Monday Women’s and Thursday night Triples Tennis Geelong competitions.

The club has hosted matches for these competitions on its grounds and has also participated in various other Geelong-based team tennis events throughout the year.

Geelong-based business Bisinella Developments was the first official sponsor of the Lara Tennis Club and for the 15th year in a row, Bisinella Developments has reaffirmed its sponsorship of the club. This demonstrates the company's continued dedication to investing in the communities it helps to create.

Lara Tennis Club President Fergus Weber expressed gratitude to its sponsors, including Bisinella Developments who have contributed significantly to its Club facilities and projects.

“The support from Bisinella is invaluable, enabling us to thrive as an organisation and support those who have a passion for grassroot sport in Geelong”, Fergus said.

Bisinella Developments Director Richard Bisinella said he was delighted to support the club and provide valuable sporting opportunities for people in Lara.

“We are excited to see what the Club and its participants achieve next,” Richard said.

Looking ahead, Fergus Weber highlighted the club's plans to undertake further upgrades, including additional court updates and the installation of an automated LED light system.

He emphasised the critical role of sponsors like Bisinella in ensuring the continued success and growth of the club.
